Meet Patrick Gant
Writer, speaker & owner of thinkit creative
Patrick Gant is a professional writer and speaker with over ten years of experience as founder of thinkit creative—a company that helps people grow their businesses by showing them how to unlock the power of writing that sells.
He’s shocked that he now has, in total, more than 20 years’ experience as a writer by trade. (You can be shocked, too. He likes it when people react like that for what it says about his youthful charm).
Clients and skills
His client list includes professional speakers and sales trainers, creative design studios, not-for-profit agencies, sectoral associations, professional services businesses and technology companies.
With an earned reputation as a technology-savvy copywriter and editor who has a knack for all things creative, Patrick’s clients call on him regularly to apply his talents to a full range of content creation projects. This includes writing content for the web, ebook development, annual reports, social-media infused marketing strategies, feature articles and blog posts, video scripts, backgrounders, storyboards, newsletters, email blasts, brochures, op-ed pieces and direct-mail letters.
Professional speaker and presenter
Patrick is also a passionate public speaker and engages his audiences in keynote presentations on how organizations of all sizes can unlock the power of writing that sells.
Prior to founding thinkit creative in 2001, he spent nearly a decade helping to guide communications in key federal departments, including Solicitor General Canada, Transport Canada, the Privy Council Office, and Human Resources and Social Development Canada. In addition to Patrick’s copywriting and editing skills, his areas of strategic communications expertise include: science and technology, national security, health, labour market training, transportation, First Nations and citizen engagement.
Fluently bilingual (French and English), Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science) from Carleton University.
